For Practitioners:

The following presentations and workshops are designed to help practitioners understand the principles of creative power for their own use and how Circle of Excellence workshops can be used in their community and with their clients.

Creating Personal Empowerment in Communities (90 to 120 minutes)

Learn how clients can be taught to use their inherent personal creative power to reduce the number and intensity of automatic negative reactions. This workshop demonstrates with experiential exercises that negative reactions have a root cause. Clients created them in a decision (long forgotten) to give their power away which in turn generated the experience of lack which leads to anger, fear and despair. The 5 principles for bringing these root cause decisions to light are presented. This allows clients to recover their personal power and create a sense of well-being. These techniques for mastering creative power are designed to reduce dysfunctional behavior at any level (almost everyone can find something where they can succeed in taking their power back). These simple successes are then used to motivate clients to take responsibility and choose behaviors that foster well-being in more areas of their life.

This session can be 1½ to 2-hour introduction or a 4-hour workshop which includes experiential exercises for each of the 5 principles of creative empowerment. Designed for conferences and training institutes with audiences from 10 to 80 participants.

Mastering Your Creative Power for Community Service Practitioners (full day)

Your personal creative power is the key to maintaining your resiliency and your own well-being in the face of daily challenges and sometimes frustrating clients. Each of the 5 principles of creative self-empowerment are explored in-depth. Numerous experiential exercises designed to allow participants to practice using their power to create personal well-being in situations typically found in community service are included. The more you empower your own peace and well-being the better equipped you will be to help your clients, prevent burnout and compassion fatigue, and improve your own quality of life. – Ongoing support materials available.
